HUMANITIES IN THE SCIENCES
To plan, teach and evaluate four interdisciplinary pilot humanities courses in an attempt to bring conceptual coherence and a means for institutional deliberateness into the process of curricular development. The pilot courses, representing a sampling of possible approaches as well as substantive additions to the curriculum, will be planned, taught, and evaluated within a larger framework of critical reflection on the humanities, their bearing on the sciences, and their pertinence to the student's life goals.
