A PROGRAM IN FRESHMAN STUDIES AT TRANSYLVANIA UNIVERSITY
A Freshman Studies Program aiming to coordinate instruction in basic communication skills with a two course sequence in the Humanities. The first course will explore the tradition of the European "image of Man" from Classical Greece to Shakespeare. The second course will focus on the American literary tradition. Three kinds of learning situations will be used: lectures, small discussion sections, and individual tutorial.
