The project will result in a published edition of the Old French Agrauains contained at folios 1r-186r of Yale 229, a thirteenth-century illustrated manuscript codex owned by the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library (Yale University). The Agrauains edition, contracted by Brepols, will include the editor's introduction on paleography and narrative; the edited, annotated text (372 pages); glossaries for codicological, art historical, grammatical, and bibliographic terms used in the introduction and reading notes; word and proper name glossaries; and a selective bibliography. The Agrauains edition will be the final volume edited from Yale 229 and will complete the edited text from the manuscript. (Previous volumes are La mort le Roi Artu [Brepols 2007 and the Queste del Saint Graal [Brepols 2008].) Following the completion of the Agrauains edition, electronic projects based on the full edited text are planned: one a searchable corpus and the other, text for an interactive manuscript.
