Religious and Empirical 'Other': 'Primitive' and 'Civilized'in History

To examine the methodological bias in the study of the history of religion, namely the studies of archaic and primitive religions. Participants will investigate the concept of "primitive" from hermeneutic and empirical perspectives and attempt to arrive at an understanding of the constructive principles involved in the history of religion in general.
