This work is one of the foundational texts of the Hindu religious tradition. I have recently completed a translation of the first half of The Book of Peace (Univ. of Chicago Press; Feb., 2004). The proposed work will complete the translation of this book as part of a complete English translation of the entire Mahâbhârata by several scholars.
