A four-week seminar for fifteen school teachers to study the writings of Petrarch on site in Provence, France.

This 4-week seminar will study on location a selection of Petrarch's writings composed in Avignon and the Vaucluse. Exploration of the intimate tie between site and text will enhance appreciation of the texts themselves and understanding of the emotional and intellectual complexity of the father of Italian humanism.
