Revolution!: The Atlantic World Reborn

Implementation of a traveling exhibition and educational initiative exploring the transformation in the world's politics and culture between 1763 and 1815 with particular focus on three globally influential revolutions in America, France, and Haiti.

In November 2011, the New-York Historical Society will present "Revolution! The Atlantic World Reborn" a major interpretive exhibition and educational initiative with an international traveling component. "Revolution!" brings together a vivid illustration of three globally influential revolutions -- in America, France, and Haiti -- and provides a context for understanding the social upheavals that have shaped contemporary culture and politics. The project includes accompanying educational activities, public programs, online resources, media, and a catalogue.
