America's Music: A Film History of Our Popular Music from Blues to Bluegrass to Broadway
America's Music is a six-week series of public programs featuring documentary film screenings and scholar-led discussions of twentieth-century American popular music. The grantee will present six programs on these uniquely American musical traditions: blues and gospel, Broadway, jazz, bluegrass and country, rock, and mambo and hip hop.
