NEH on the Road: Grass Roots

Ancillary public humanities programs to accompany the NEH on the Road: Grass Roots traveling exhibition.

The Coastal Discovery Museum will conduct humanities related programming to accompany the Grass Roots exhibition during the time the exhibit will be on loan to the Museum. During the exhibit, the Museum will host several speakers relating to African American history, Gullah Culture and the history of basketmaking in Africa and the southeastern coast. In addition, a Sweet Grass basketmaker will conduct programming and demonstrations during the exhibition.
