Pennsylvania Sumerian Dictionary [PSD]
The completion of an online lexicon of Sumerian, the first documented written language dating from 3300 BC.
This grant cycle, we will create a complete version of the Sumerian Dictionary, consisting of the headers and semantic outlines for every word derived from semantically tagged text corpora. Versions of this work will be released on the World Wide Web, CD-ROM and in print. The Web and CD-ROM versions will include substantial amounts of the Sumerian text corpus in a manner directly accessible from the Dictionary proper.
