With the proposed Preservation Assistance Grant, the Andover Historical Society will re-house and relocate a portion of its photograph collection. The photograph collection is currently stored in acid-free folders in hanging files and vertical filing cabinets in the Historical Society’s library. If awarded, the Preservation Assistance Grant will purchase appropriately-sized photographic print sleeves and flat and clamshell archival storage boxes to re-house 2,000 of the 15,400 photographs and stereopticon views in the photograph collection. |
