The New Castle Historical Society requests funds to send its curator/collections manager Rebecca Wilson to the week-long program "Preserving Photographs in a Digital World" in August 2006. The program sponosored by the George Eastman House, the Image Permanence Institute, and the Rochester Institute of Technology covers photographic preservation technology, archival practices, and digital imaging. Wilson is in charge of all aspects of the Society's diverse collections. Attending the program would provide her with the information she needs to plan and administer short and long-term preservation plans for the Society's photograph collection. |
