This two-year project seeks to rehouse the Oriental Institute Museum's collection of ancient metal artifacts in modern, museum-quality cabinets. A contract conservator will be hired for the duration of the project to carry out the project activities. Old, acidic packing materials will be replaced with new, acid-free substitutes. The artifacts will be photographed for entry into the Museum's database. The contract conservator will carry out a condition survey of the artifacts before they are rehoused. |
