The GTHS is asking the NEH to support a site survey/preservation management consultation by Amigos Library Services, Austin, Texas. The preservation site survey will address building evaluation and disaster planning needs; review the overall collections; evaluate procedures and policies that apply to preservation; and provide recommendations for improving storage and handling practices. The survey will result in a report that identifies short- and long-term priorities for preservation and will address training of GTHS personnel in preservation of collections of books and other materials. |
