Digitization of lexical texts (bilingual Sumerian-Akkadian dictionaries, synonym lists, and sign lists) found in the library of the Assyrian king Assurbanipal (668-630 B.C.). The project would make available cataloging information and images of all cuneiform tablets coupled with transliterations and translations of the texts.

The project Royal Lexicography: from Scholarship to Politics will create full digital access to the lexical texts (bilingual dictionaries, synonym lists, sign lists) from the library of king Assurbanipal (668-ca 630 BCE), in order to enable and encourage research at the crossroads of ancient scholarship and politics. The project will take full advantage of recent developments in digital cuneiform and will profit from the unique combination of expertise in digital publication and knowledge of the cuneiform lexical tradition that is available in the project team.
