The critical edition of The Works of George Santayana makes the complete oeuvre of a preeminent twentieth-century thinker and writer accurately available to a diverse and international audience. The multi-book volume of The Life of Reason is vital for the groundwork it provides for all the volumes that conclude the series. Three Philosophical Poets follows this publication chronologically and will be edited under the same guidelines as previously published philosophical works. The Edition is asking for support to complete preparations for publication of the five books of The Life of Reason (Reason in Common Sense, Reason in Society, Reason in Religion, Reason in Art, and Reason in Science), as well as initial preparation for Three Philosophical Poets. All books will be published within one year following the grant period and added to the Past Masters CD-ROM. |
