A Critical Edition of John Donne's Verse Letters and Songs and Sonets
Publication of John Donne's Satyres, and editorial work on the Verse Letters, and Songs and Sonets. (36 months)
This project represents a major phase of the textual work on the variorum Edition of the poetry of John Donne (Indiana University Press), an 8-volume research tool that combines a newly edited critical text of the poems with a comprehensive variorum commentary. Support for the textual work on Donne's Satyres, Verse Letters, and Songs and Sonets is requested in this application.
