Production of a 90-minute documentary film on the life of renowned documentary photographer, Dorothea Lange.
Katahdin Foundation, Inc. requests support for the production of a 90-minute documentary film, Dorothea Lange: Grab a Hunk of Lightning, on the life of the renowned documentary photographer, best known for her iconic image Migrant Mother. The story of Lange's life will serve as a narrative thread to explore crucial moments in American history -- the Great Depression, World War II and postwar America -- as well as the development of photography as a record of history in the making.
