American Routes: Routes to Creativity, A Sense of Place
Production of ten two-hour topical programs that would focus on the geographic places that have acted as wellsprings of creative influence and musical expression.
American Routes is a weekly, nationally distributed public radio program produced in New Orleans devoted to the music, songs, stories, and voices reflecting American culture through its vernacular music. Each two-hour program presents a wide range of American music woven around a theme or series of related topics, hosted by the noted folklorist and documentary producer Dr. Nick Spitzer.
