Finding and Using Moving Images in Context (Web Resource)
Title: Finding and Using Moving Images in Context
Author: Teeter Bibber
Author: Karan Sheldon
Abstract: Using selected moving images from Northeast Historic Film, this project employed a team approach for open access. The project emphasized contextualization of archival footage, building tools to provide access to articles, scene-by-scene notes, both item-level and collection-level descriptive records. Three China scholars provided content and used the work in their scholarship and teaching.
The project was built on archival footage of China, 1928-1936, with rights to reuse. Teachers participated in evaluation.
