Preserving Your Family's Treasures Community Workshop (Public Lecture or Presentation)
Title: Preserving Your Family's Treasures Community Workshop
Abstract: This free community workshop was hosted by the Central Washington University Archives and Special Collections on the morning of July 14, 2018 at the Roslyn Public Library. Advance RSVPs were required so the CWU Archives staff would know how many preservation kits to bring to distribute to workshop attendees. Each attendee could bring up to 10 papers and photographs to have scanned. Each attendee was given a preservation kit as well as a flash drive of their scanned items. There were eight attendees at this event. The three CWU Archives staff members led the workshop as well as the Scholarly Communications Librarian who assisted with scanning.

Advance RSVPs were required so the CWU Archives staff would know how many preservation kits to bring to distribute to workshop attendees. Advance RSVPs were required so the CWU Archives staff would know how many preservation kits to bring to distribute to workshop attendees. Each attendee could bring up to 10 papers and photographs to have scanned. Each attendee was given a preservation kit as well as a flash drive of their scanned items. There were 14 attendees at this event. The three CWU Archives staff members led the workshop as well as the Scholarly Communications staff member who assisted with scanning.
