Abstract: The Jane Addams Digital Edition provides access to almost 5,000 documents sent to or written by Jane Addams (1860-1935), America's best known social worker and peace activist. The digital edition includes both images and transcriptions, and offers rich search and discovery by text, subjects, tags, maps, and advanced searches. It includes identifications of people, organizations and events mentioned in the texts, and a complete list of repositories and collections with Addams materials. It also features a transcription crowdsourcing site and exhibits designed to help students and teachers use the edition. New documents are added each year.
