To support the development of a Midwest Studies Center at Knox College in 3 ways; 1) to conduct three summer institutes, primarily for school teachers, in order to develop interdisciplinary curricular ideas; 2) to conduct three Saturday in-service institutes for and teachers and Knox students, emphasizing regional cultural and environmental resources. 3) to enrich library holdings in the area American Studies, History, English, Anthropology, Biology and Geology, in connection with the Midwest Studies Center Curriculum.
