A two-week residential institute for 25 6-12 educators on the history and legacies of the 1898 coup in Wilmington, North Carolina.

This proposal is for a new two week-long Summer Teacher Institute named "Wilmington 1898: Geographies of Rage, Resistance, and Resilience." This institute will bring together 25 teachers of grades 6-12 from across the US to Wilmington, North Carolina, site of the only successful coup d''état in the nation''s history.
