To put together a complete collection of the widely dispersed epistles, edicts, mandata, decreta and speeches of Roman emperors (27 B.C.-287 A.D.) that are preserved in ancient Greek inscriptions and papyri. The texts must first be located, then established, translated and explained and finally indexed and studied as a group. There is only one other such study, and that is now out of date.
