To write a critical interpretation of Book I of Richard Hooker’s Of the Laws of Ecclesiastical Polity. Commentary will consist of two major parts: a) a general introduction which will place Hooker in the mainstream of Western intellectual history and 2) a more technical section which outlines the basic argument of the treatise, identifies quotes and references, and cities full quotation in context of references which Hooker makes in passing.
