To continue work on a book called Pandemonium: Shape and Strategies of the Grotesque which will (1) define the grotesque, (2) examine its processes and potentialities, and (3) account for its appearance and particular forms at the turn of the 20th century in England and America, proposing a general theory for the relating between certain forms of the grotesque and the cultural and intellectual climate in which they occur.
