Project is a complete English edition of the Navajo Creation Story, based principally on the Washington Matthews version long out of print, with supplementary editions from various other sources. Result will be a volume that reflects the literary quality of the story itself and that indicates the depth and range of Navajo culture. This little known narrative deserves wider recognition as a significant piece of Native American poetic art.
