FAIN: FA-12386-78

Simon Ottenberg
Unaffiliated Independent Scholar (Seattle, WA 98112)

To test the view that there are underlying similarities between sculpture and dance, through the anthropological study of the Limba of Sierre Leone. Twelve months of field research will be used to collect highly specific and detailed information on both dance and sculptural forms. These basic elements will then be viewed in terms of general cultural and aesthetic qualities of Limba culture.
