To explore the implications of the dialogical and constitutive functions of language in the writing of certain scientists concentrating on Loren Eisely. Study will extend to writers like Werner Heisenberg, Niels Bohr and Martin Buber. Applicant hopes to write several essays about Eiseley--may result in a book. Will improve his teaching and literary criticism.
