To do intensive reading in literary theory and criticism, beginning with the poetics of classical authors (Greek and Latin) and the most significant Spanish, French and Italian poetics of the renaissance, baroque and neoclassic periods. Second part would be a comprehensive study of the currents of literary theory and criticism in the 19th and 20th centuries. Program would provide an essential background for a long-term research project, i.e. the analysis, evaluation, and critical edition of an anonymous 18th century Spanish manuscript related to poetics which will be of great interest from the point of view of Spanish literary history
