A fellowship would support crucial final stages of research toward a new edition of Sir Thomas Wyatt's complete works. Volume one is a revised form of my dissertation on Wyatt's prose. Volume two--the focus of this proposal--will be the first scholarly, original-spelling edition of Wyatt's poetry since 1969. As part of this project, I reassess the archives in order to resolve longstanding debates over the size and nature of the Wyatt canon. The project is under contract with Oxford University Press.
