The American Family’s Almanac of Animals (working title) celebrates the 250th Anniversary of our country with a beautifully illustrated almanac that depicts the flora, fauna, geography, and folk-history of our country while featuring the text—and thus the self-evident principles—of our Declaration of Independence. Like preceding landmark works that came before it, such as Ben Franklin’s Poor Richard’s Almanac (a founding era favorite), The American Family's Almanac of Animals will help to build the moral imagination of America for generations. This highly informative Almanac will describe American animals and ecological zones and use the text of the Declaration to serve as a moral framework that organizes each section of the book. Simultaneously, those sections will each feature a different region to showcase our country’s natural geography, wildlife, and social and civic history. It will be a work of patriotic exuberance to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our country.
