To examine the lives of members of the Jewish community of Columbus, Ohio. Oral history will be used to explore Jewish family structure, the texture of neighborhood life and the ordinary and obscure people of the community. The study will illuminate the relations between Russian and German Jews in the area, class mobility of Jews as compared with Italians and Germans, etc.
