FAIN: FT-11988-74

To incorporate some aspects of sociological theory into an analysis of discretionary decision-making by officials. The study of discretionary decision-making is a relatively new field for legal scholarship. This study will 1)enable lawyers better to understand an area of prime concern to them, as well as 2) facilitate interchange between scholars in law and sociology who share a concern with similar phenomena, although from different perspectives.
