To explore the relationship between the collections of 17th century British poems on Affairs of State and existing collections of 17th century engravings, woodcuts, and figures in politics, in order to gain further knowledge about the ways in which poems written to specific political occasions were "shaped," and knowledge of those emblematic habits the poets have shared with artists.
