To study the differential impact of Christianity and Islam on African social and political life by studying the different impact of these two religions on the political thought and action of the Yoruba people of Western Nigeria who have been converted to both religions. This study of comparative religion if part of Pi’s development of a general theory of political culture which should show how cultural life has an important effect, often unintended, on political life.
