To prepare the general adult public of the New Orleans Museums of Art for the internationally significant exhibition Treasures from the Tomb of Tutahkhamun in order that they might gain insight and appreciation of the individual art treasures represented in the exhibition by exploring the integral relationship between art, literature and the function of writing in ancient Egyptian culture.
