Gary Sweeney (Project Director: January 1973 to present)

To conduct extensive research on the architectural character of a single 19th century residence: the Newberry House in Central City Colorado. To provide Central City Opera Association with a written report and a plan to follow in restoring the house to its 19th century authenticity. The project would use humanities students as reseaerchers, enabling them to make a valuable contribution to art history while expanding and developing their present abilities through library research and direct observation.
