To invetigate the exploitation of metals in antiquity and to test theories of diffusion, innovation and adaption in Idalion, a large urban site in central Cypurs which lies very close to the ancient mining sites in the Troodos Mountains and which has been subject to cultural stimuli from most of the major Mediterranean civilizations.
