To apply to Attic inscriptions a new technique of study. This technique is a form of handwriting analysis which enables one to recognize the work of individual ancient letter-cutters. The significance of the work lies in the fact that this technique allows us both to date more precisely many fragments which are now undatable and even to reassemble inscriptions from widely scattered fragment.
