a two-volume translation, edition, and digital sound-recording of 970 pages of Creek texts collected in Oklahoma just before World War II by anthropologist Mary R. Haas (1910-1996). (24 months)

To support the editing and translation of an important collection of Creek (Muskogee) texts transcribed in Oklahoma in the 1930's dealing with folklore, social history, autobiography, and traditional culture. The project will result in two printed volumes of interlinear texts with digital sound-recordings and contextual information.
