“Where Pennsylvania Began” is a series of public programs in 2026 to celebrate Delaware County’s place in America’s 250-year history and engage the broader community in our local history. "Where Pennsylvania Began” extends our work in making local history accessible to the public by providing free, open, and inclusive programming that reflects the experiences of all Delaware County residents, past and present. “Where Pennsylvania Began” coincides with celebrations happening nationwide in 2026 to commemorate the signing of the Declaration of Independence 250 years ago. By engaging the community in this way, we seek to increase our reach and build more excitement and interest in what our collection and research facility offers.
