National History Academy encourages high school students from around the country to gain a greater understanding of the foundations of American democracy and civic responsibility through place-based, experiential learning. This five-week summer program combines innovative classroom experiences with visits to significant historic landmarks in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Washington, D.C.
