Partial support, with National Science Foundation and U.S. Office of Education, of Annual Doctorate Survey. ABSTRACT: Partial support, with National Science Foundation and U.S. Office of Education, of Annual Doctorate Survey. NEH supplied $11000 of a total of $130,000. Survey secures and published information on all newly awarded earned doctorates, including name, address, date of birth, secondary school and higher education institutions attended, degrees conferred, title of dissertation, field of specialization, career and employment plans, and related information. The data are available as tabulations annually and are published periodically. The Survey serves as a major source of information to graduate schools, government agencies, and other organizations involved with or served by graduate schools. The information generated by the Survey is of direct benefit to the national Endowment program planning, especially in the fellowship areas.
