To provide a special, continuing experience in the humanities and humanistic thought for rising younger and established leaders in principal urban centers in the United States. Aspen Institute-type activities (seminars, workshops, study groups, lectures and discussions would be planned involving leaders from various communities--business, education, labor, science, communications, the goverment at all levels, the law including both the bench and the bar, cultural affairs, engineering, medicine, architecture and urban planning, among others.
