A website on the history of Las Vegas, including interpretive materials and links to primary source material that relate the city's history to major themes in American history and culture.

Nevada Humanities will create a website that explores and contextualizes Las Vegas history. The proposed website will provide access to a wide range of information about Las Vegas, including links to primary source material. In keeping with the themes and goals of the We the People initiative, the site will also feature interpretive articles that demonstrate how Las Vegas history reflects major themes in American history, such as the dawn of the atomic age and the impact of the cold war, federal presence and control in the western U.S., and the post-war growth of the tourism industry.
