To support activities related to themes and events in American History and culture to take place during the Festival of Books in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

SDHC requests history track funding for its Second Annual Festival of Books in Sioux Falls. With the theme of "bringing readers and writers together" and featuring six tracks--history, non-fiction, writers’ support, fiction, poetry and children’s literature--we expect 10,000 people to attend. In a variety of formats, headlining authors H.W. Brands, James Ronda and 30 additional historians will explore significant events in American History and culture from the history of walking to the case for writing local history to the impact of Lewis and Clark on the American landscape.
