Expansion of the "Prime Time" reading and discussion programs, providing programs in 16 libraries over two years, and the development and review of additional individual Chautauqua presentations.

The Kentucky Humanities Council (KHC) requests $46,700 for Prime Time Family Reading Time and $14,250 for Kentucky Chautauqua. KHC is currently initiating Prime Time in partnership with the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives in 8 county libraries. Our request would enable KHC to support Prime Time in 8 additional libraries during a second year and develop a track record on which to base future funding requests to private foundations. Our Chautauqua joins those of other councils nationally as a proven vehicle for teaching American history to all audiences.
