An Emancipation Day event, "Soul of the City," a summer leadership development seminar for high school students and four episodes of the educational cable television series, "Humanities Profiled."

HCWDC will examine the concepts of Freedom, Rights and Responsibilities of citizenship using historical and contemporary texts as basis for discussion. Programs include: an EMANCIPATION DAY event; SOUL OF THE CITY, a leadership development institute for high school students that looks at the selected concepts as they relate to local communities through the filter of History, Ethics, Public Spaces and Literature; and our HUMANITIES PROFILED educational television series that reach 200,000 households in DC. We will also make more We The People materials available on our website.
